Hey fellas! Today I bought a C5!

Fully loaded.

Low miles.

Spiral gray, auto, HUD, you name it. All maintenance by last owner done at dealers! Non-smoker. Did a thorough exam on it. Sweet ride for $20,000. It is a buyer’s market here in Atlanta for Vettes.

I have hardly been this happy. It was HARD to go Vettlesss.
:)

Paul, bout time you were happy for awhile! GOOD FOR YOU! Hope you like your C5 as much
as my wife and I like ours. :thumb:thumb Spiral Gray is a great color!

Thanks Andy. Yes, I am very happy.

I will be even happier when I win in court against the ex-wife. That’s why I bartered my C4.

I didn’t know you were a Vietnam vet. I have a lot of respect for Vietnam vets, I am 50 and remember watching it on TV as a kid. I always feel bad for the short shrift they received. Thank you for serving.

I was in the A.F. from 81-89.

ALL RIGHT! A ZOOMIE (no malice intended, I use that term with respect)! I was in the Army from August 12, 1966 thru August 11, 1970, and "fixed radios for a living". Taught basic electronics at Ft. Devens, Massachusetts when I got back from Vietnam. C5's are fun cars to drive! I had a 69, 375 horse 69 Chevelle SS-396 that I dearly loved and would love to have back, but as good as that car was, the C5 beats it in every way EXCEPT attracting a crowd. The muscle cars will always have the most droolers, and that's ok......I'm not partial to drool on my Vette anyway. Good luck with the court battle, as well as with the "new family member".:thumb

Congrats Paul! What an exciting turn of events for ya! A win in court and you'll be flying high! PS: I won in court two weeks ago! Keep the streak alive! Best of luck in court and with your new C5!

Thanks fellas. You bet, I wanna keep that streak alive. I got a change of venue, and my son will testify and my C4 bought me a LOT of lawyer. She’s one of the very best. I have God on my side.

In the A.F. I worked cockpit avionics on the F-111’s. BEST time of my life. Those were 8 great years! I would advise anyone to join the military. It sure changed me for the better! Discipline—which I still use today, camaraderie, and lots of travel. I still keep in touch with my Air Force buddies after all these years.

Paul, here ya go! Just till you get the picture for the avatar. :thumb:thumb
It shows up as white here, but everything but the logo and letters
are transparent. The light blue will show thru when it's used as an avatar.

If you can't save it and use it as your avatar PM me and I'll e-mail it to you.

I would rather change a zillion opti’s on C4’s blindfolded and one handed than go back to her. Yikes, it makes my skin crawl. ;LOL

Paul,
I am happy to see that your court battle has had a turn for the good and you already have another vette! :thumb :beer

Well, I have a long way to go. Since she got served with papers I have tried in vain to be nice to the woman. I tried to call and speak with my son tonight but she hatefully blocked him. How sad. I feel sorry for the woman. She divorced me too!

The Vette is great, I love it but my son is worth a million trillion Vettes.

I feel that justice will prevail however.

Thanks fellas.

On another note, I followed along with the sticky about pulling codes.

Although I do not have a Z06 this is what I got.

40-BCM
B2593H
B2723 H

99-HVAC
B0363 H
B0441 H C

A0-LDCM
B2282 H
B2284 H
U1016 H
U1096 H

A1-RDCM
B2283 H
B2285 H
U1096 H
U1016 H

B0-RFA
U1000 H
U1096 H

A0-LDCM
B2282 H
B2284H
U1016H
U1096 H

They all reset but I haven’t had a chance to drive it yet.

Some of these codes are not listed on that list.

I cannot wait to get the FSM for this car so I can learn as much as I did on my C4. This is the fun part as I really enjoy learning all about these engines.

Question:

Does the LS1 operate the same as the LT1 as in open loop/closed loop?

Thanks for your help.

Paul
