hi there i want to know is this wide fenders is good looking
or the stock one
and which color is good for it

Most will tell you stock fenders.

If you want wide fenders, some compliment the C2 body lines better than others.

These hold 10" wide rims....

67heaven is right. A friend of mine in the Quad Cities has a 65 roadster - and he has parked along side my 66 at shows. His looks more like the pic that 67heaven is showing, and people look long and hard to figure out how he got those wide wire wheels in the fenders.

Your car has flares that look more like mud/stone guards. If you don't like them - they can be removed - but it's not cheap.

I agree with the previous post. Also, I prefer one of the original Corvette colors, I believe yours has been painted a different custom color. If you're interested in an original color, it'll be easy to find information on one.

I assume from your information you've posted that you're in Kuwait (q8). I spent about three years in Saudi Arabia building military facilities in the early 80's with the U. S. Alrmy Corps of Engineers, and have some friends still with the Corps who are in Kuwait now.

I saw quite a few expensive and custom cars while in the Middle East including a fair share of Corvettes, but no mid-year (1963-1967) Corvettes. As said before, I prefer the original look and feel for a mid-year restoration, but that's just personal preference.

Good to hear from you!

It looks like you have a very nice car, and no, the fenders as they are now are not stock. The body line which comes from the front of the car and runs down the side should be continuous above both front and rear fenders, with about one inch (about 2.5 centimeters) of fibreglass below this line at both fenders. It appears that someone has added the small flares at the front and rear wheel wells at sometime in the car's past. Take a look at the car in the photo I'm enclosing to see what I mean. The wheel wells in this photo show what the stock fenders should look like.

With regard to your signal lights or turning lights, the amber lenses below the front bumper and in front of your front tires should operate as parking lights and turn signal lights for the front of the vehicle. I hope I understand your questions and I hope this is of some help.

The fenders on the black car you have shown a photo of are nearly stock except for the small flares on both front and rear fenders. The flares on the maroon car included in your initial post are not stock, and in addition to adding the flares around the entire wheelwell, someone has also removed the parking lamp and parking lamp housing from the front fenders. The color of the maroon car also is not stock. The vehicle data plate located on the crossbar just below the glove compartment includes color codes for the exterior and interior paint. If you can give the data on the plates, I or someone else can tell you what the original correct color was.

Hope this helps some more.

You won't have to replace the entire fender, I don't think. And, you can also purchase the fibreglass part with the parking light. Some of the aftermarket suppliers make repair panels for the wheelwells, and the labor and materials shouldn't be too much. Of course, the entire car will need to be painted, also. I'm not sure where in Kuwait you can get any fiberglass work done, you would know more abot that than I would, I believe.

If you need help in locating some aftermarket suppliers of these fiberglass parts, I'm sure the folks visiting Corvette Action Center will be glad to help, as well as myself.:cool

One company dealing in repair panels for flared wheelwells is Vanacors, I've included a link to page from their catalog in this post. Although a picture of the wheelwell repair part is not shown on this page, a write-up on the part is shown in the block about the right center of the page. I'm sure someone at the company could tell you if their panel would correct the flare on your car after you send them a photo of the car. Hope this helps.

If you have the chance to go to a boat shop or yacht repair shop or something like that.....that will do perfectly.

It will be hard to find people that are able to deal in fibreglass. Geuss even more in Kuwait. So take a look at the boating people...

...when the firbreglass repair is done go to a paintshop that cares for high value cars as well....a portion of them will have to deal with carbon fibre....and they will help you in regard of the paint.

Getting the right materials in terms of paint is essential as a midyear has no resin seal on top of the body panels....

...if this isn´t done correctly paint might be chipping off.
