Since I have a 92 does anyone know when and what the serial number was of the 1,000,000th Corvette?

The National Corvette Museum would know. Call them at 1-800-53VETTE. You might also find the information in the Black Book. Another source would be Mike Yeager at Mid-America Motorsports as I believe he either owns the car or did own it at one point.

I also have a 92 and mine was built in late April with a VIN in the 14000 range.

well I tried to find it, no luck sorry. Now we know that the vins in 92 went from

Base: 1G1YY23P6N5100001 - 1G1YY23P6N5119977 (taken from the model center)

so was the 1,000,000th the first lt1? If it is wouldnt it have Base: 1G1YY23P6N5100001 as its number?

well, goodluck.

I had it in a booklet somwwhere , July 2,1992 was the date...

I can't find it for the life of me! Not on the Internet, not in any of my books; not the Black Book, not the C4 Sourcebook, Corvette From The Inside (McClellan's book), Zora's book, Leffingwell's Corvette 50 Years, none of them. They all had basically the same statement; "The The 1-millionth Corvette, a 1992 white convertible, was built July 2, 1992." - that's all I can find. :hb

As I recall, there was nothing special about the car because it would be pretty hard to predict when that particular chassis would be ordered and the car entered into VOMS much less get a TPW. It could have very well been a 93 car if the total 92 orders had been lower for 92. The millionth car was a white vert with red interior and an auto trany. A July build date would put the last 5 digits of the VIN around 15-16000 or so.

I don't rememmber where I copyed this from. I found this about a year ago. I thought it was kinda cool though. It is the one mil. birth cert.

1992 built in April

My 1992 was built in April. It's VIN puts it at around the 12000th built that year. If the 1,000,000 th was built in July, it must have a higher serial number (ie closer to 14,000).

The millionth Corvette usually appears at Carlisle. Maybe Carlisle Productions has an answer or can direct you to the source. - OVG

Check LT1-MP's picture closely. It has the VIN ending in 119134. Less than a 1000 from the end. It's really too bad it couldn't have been a 40th anniversary (1993)
