I havent had any issues with the rubbing.... as you can see, they stick out a little

looks good when you are following me down the street or on the Interstate.

It does look good :thumb

I ordered a set of Grand Sport wheels. Once I get them on the car I'll post pics.

I have the '84 coupe and restoring it completly, have the 9.5x17 rims installed but wanted to put the 11x17 on the back, I think that the interesting part here is what offset you have on this ones you are using? is it 36mm 0 50mm ,? please advise me on this

36mm because the 50mm is the deeper offset ( thats is the C4 Grand sport wheel )

Front 17x9.5 are 38mm
Rear 17x11 are 35mm

Grand Sport wheels mounted

Got them on today. I realize these are not the greatest pictures.

Old sawblades. The finish is coming off of these.

New GS wheels look great (IMHO)

I have them and i dont have any issues of these 35 series tires sticking out too far i think it looks really good, Especially when you are following the car down the street

93 convertible with 11" wide Grand Sport wheels

The tires stick out so little, you hardly notice.
Wheels are from a grand sport
I have no plans to put fender flares on. I'm looking for a pic right now to attach.
Hope this is useful for you.

"Lastly, on tires, there are not a lot of options in tires in 315/35ZR17 but whatever you choose, I'd avoid the Summitomos. From a performance standpoint, they are a poor choice and should be looked at only as a budgetary last resort."

Hib,

What do you recommend? I need some 315/35ZR17's for the 11's on the rear of my 87 Z52 along with the matching 275/40ZR17's for the 9.5's on the front. Seems no one makes both a 315/ 35 and a 275/40 in the same tread pattern that isn't junk. ;shrug

I looked for these sizes ( Since I have the same wheels as you ) ........I found this on a tire site ---- they looked good to me and had a high approval rating

Here's a pic of my 88 with 11 x 17 and 315's. They stick out ever so slightly. Also, I have to disagree about the Sumitomo's, I think they are an excellent all around tire, performance included. I have to admit tho, I am not a track guy so that may be what others are referring to.
