Looking for advice on what to purchase. I have Haynes and as I wresle with a short in my interior lights circuit, I realize that it is not up to task. I looked at the online service ALLDATADIY which, by the way, shocked me at its inexpensive anual subscription of $25 for one vehicle. I have also considered helms or an OEM shop manual off ebay.

Any advice?

P.S. I am really into exploded views and wiring diags with locations of ground points and devices....big surprize considering the short mentioned above.

I didn't listen to the advice to buy GM Service manuals and wasted my money on a Haynes and a Chiltons, they were almost worthless. I bought a set of used GM Service Manuals on Ebay and am pleased with everything except for the fact that I didn't listen to their advice initially.

Keep looking you will find them..

I also bought Haynes, Chilton, and Richard Newton's book, 101 Corvette projects. The Helms books are the best. The others have some good information, but were not kept up to date for the later C-4 models. Also the Helm preliminary manuals are worthless unless you have the previous year's manuals. Only the new year changes are in the preliminary manual.
