when i bought my 87 vette, the man was as genorous to GIVE me anouther complete set of rims and tires and the tires have about 90% tread. my ? is what in yalls opinion looks better satin or polished. i know the satins are easyer to maintain. or if you know of a great looking aftermarket rims let me know please. Also dose anyone have any feedback on the firestone firehawks., from what i hear they really stick to the asfalt...

Satin for sure... But that's my taste and taste differs from person to person. I just do not like the chrome / polished finishes that look like mirror to attract attention.

The Firehawks are OK but don't stick anywhere near the Run Flats--With the Goodyears the car handled ungodly quick, but they were also ungodly noisy, stiff and uncomfortable. The Firehawks are super quiet and (relatively) comfortable at highway speeds. Would I buy Firehawks again? Probably not, I'd try something else. Would I ever buy Run Flats again? Not in a million years!
As to rims, I love the look of the chrome ZR-1 wheels. But, seeing as how so many C-4 owners are going to ZR-1s and aftermarkets, I decided that having stock sawblades would be different and unusual!
Where in the swamp? The wife and I were down there a few weeks ago. We stayed at Cajun Cabins in Breau Bridge and I wore the skin off my thumbs eating mudbugs! Patted a wild gator in the Atchafalaya, listened to great music at Landry's and had a trip watching the old folks dance! We'll be back a bunch more: ya gotta love a state that has mixed drinks at drive-ins and lets fruit stands sell fifths and mixed drinks!

Thanks for the advice on the tires, i live in lakecharles that is only about 1 hour or so from breaux bridge. and yea you havent eatin till youve etin louzeana style. if you want a reall nice place to go next time go to a great place go to st martinville or laffayette or hell c'mon down to Lake Charles, but if you come to LC come during Mardi Gras, you wont regret it. Also jsut recently i went on a trip to flordia and that is where i realized how good we have it in louisisana. It was hell trying to get a stiff drink there, and it is pretty apparent to me that louisisana is the only place where u get drive thru liquer. ahh aint life grand in lousisiana......lol
