Got it installed today even though I'm just starting on the interior. As you can tell from the pictures the interior is pretty "ratty." Carpeting & everything is all original 35 year old stuff. The foam in the seats is turning to powder. :L

This is the first step for the interior. My seat belts were long gone and all that remained were the shoulder belts. I wanted to use some type of racing harness and saw the Sharkbar from Vetteworksonline.com as a way to anchor the belts without cutting any holes in the car. I spoke with Dan on the phone when I ordered and he seems to be knowledgable. Highly recommended.

The bar and all the harware are first rate. Everything is black powder coated and has a nice finish. The bar was very, very, very easy to install.

Now you know why I never posted any pictures of my interior. :D

Here's some more assembly pictures.

I had to remove this little bolt to clear the bracket:

Here's the holes, already there, that the bracket uses.

Here's a picturte of the bracket.

And the bracket mounted.

For the uninitiated, what is the purpose of the Sharkbar?

Looks great....how hard was the installation? It's kinda pricy isn't ?

Regards--

I figured something as such by your initial post. I see a crossmember like that and I see "in-car camera mount" :D

Nice bar Jughead!! :)

Yeah, it's kinda pricey but it's cheaper than the "other" bar out there.

Installation was very, very, very easy. Took about an hour and I screw around alot. :L

It looks like the shark bar mounts where the soft top would mount if your car were a convertible. Still looks good though. I was thinking of a camera mount also. Should be pretty easy to mount one on the shark bar.

I've been looking a bar like this. What supplier did you purchase it from?
