Hey everyone,
I have a 2008 with 23k on it, and all of a sudden the button on the automatic shifter won't depress. :ugh Thus, my car is either in neutral or drive. It wont go in to any other gear, including S.
I took the top cover off, the button out, but I don't see anything broke. The little white piece that the button rides on moves, but it doesn't really push down that vertical cylinder under it.
Could this be an electric solenoid issue? It seemed a bit tight a couple time getting in and out of Park, but today it just up and rebelled all together.
Any help would be appreciated! I didn't see any other post in the 27 pages that I went thru ;squint:
