Question: Shifter Knob Removal on 84 Vette

Does any one have any tips for removing the the shifter knob on the 84 corvette automatic shifter.

Welcome onto the boards there...

After you get the button (should pull straight up), the knob is held on by a C-clip. Get a SMALL screwdriver in the opening, and rotate it to spread the clip. Get another [something] on the back of the clip, in case it launches (probably won't tho').

Thanks for the help on this one. I wanted to make sure that I would not screw anything up in the process of getting the knob off. I thought it would be something simple, but when in doubt ask.
