hi,

working on finishing up my front end which is a c4 corvette suspension installed on a 1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk. I am trying to do the shock mounts for both front and back and i just dont know where to put it? should the shock be at half its travel? 1/4 of travel? 1/3 of travel? or what when it is at ride height? so in other words what i will do is permenantly fix a shock at whatever percentage of travel it should be at at ride height then build my shock mounts according to that height. any help and suggestions would be great. and i think it is that you are supposed to have the shock at half of its travel when at rest at ride height that way allowing equal travel up and down for the shock. thanks again.

I think that you should have some shock travel left when the suspension is fully released, and you should also have some shock travel left when the suspension is at full compression.

How much travel does your suspension have when compared to the travel of the shock?
