looking to buy new shocks for my 84,any advice on a new but not too expensive set of shocks and where i can find them?

If your looking for budget shocks. Go to your GM parts counter. They have standard Delco shocks that are price very reasonable. They are NOT performance shocks. I installed them on the front of my 90 for a long trip and it did soften the ride some.

I understand the KYBs are pretty good for an economical price.

I am looking for shocks for my 85 vette also. It is my budget vette. cheap shocks here also;help.

Where are the best deals? I've been watching ebay for a set of 4.

I have seen different kinds of bilsteins, what is the difference and which are the best for cornering? The sport ones or the other ones? One set is cheaper than the other? Which one is softer? I perfer the harder ones, I have drove my 84 since 1990 and like the firm ride, now I need a set for the 85.

KYB's are great. I ordered a set of 4 from JEG's. If I remember correctly they were about $120 delivered.

I have KYB's and they are softer than Bilsteins. Good shocks for the money. If you are into racing then go with Bilsteins
