Shorty Headers

I have a 81, and I've been thinking of putting shortie headers on my ZZ4 with angle plugs and D ports. Can anyone suggest what brand to go with so it will work and not interfere with the motor mounts or steering? I need to go with shorties because of the 700R4 trans: left side pipe goes in front of oil pan.

you should check out some hooker headers or headman headers, there is other brands out there as well, i would check out the web sites or even call the companies and tell them you situation and I'm sure they can suggest something.

I should add a buddy of mine at work bought a pair of headers from these guys. He brought them into work to show them to me...very,very well made. The mounting flange is much thicker than any other headers I've ever seen.
