thinking of grinding the runners on my '86 vette. I want a little more top end and I think siamesed runners will help ALOT. Anyone have any alternatives, advice, suggestions, warnings, etc. about it for me? I'm definately going to match the ports over the winter, but I'm trying to decide whether to try making the runners siamesed as well.

Go for it! Why not? Hog out the intake too! Get out your Dremel and go to town. It ain't hard, but it takes a lot of time to do it right.

i'm gonna be doing the same thing after next weekend. trying to see how quick i can get this old TPI vette going ;)

Mic,

You have to start a thread and post some pics when you're done with it.

I read about TPIS's Big Mouth Intake and they claimed "even a fully ported manifold is inadequate." What does that mean? Inadequate for what? If you're using the car as a daily driver but want some more grunt, wouldn't the ported stock manifold be enough?

I have a suspicion that they just want you to pay $425.00 for their manifold and another $75.00 for the port matching. :eyerole
