Side Billet Spears

Has anyone purchased these ? They look incredible, But WOW $350. I just found out that they come with the inner scoop grill or mesh insert. Why? I already have them, is this going to be a problem with them in already?. They also were a pain to put in,{having to remove tires & wheelwells} I am hoping I can just stick them on if I do purchase this rediculously priced item. Thanks in advance for any imfo..

The side pears are two peices of metal( crafted to fit in, around, and over the front brake cooling ducts} behind the front wheels

Overpriced. I like the clean, no bsm look myself. The more stick-ons you take off, (bsm's, emblems, etc.) the more the lines of the car smooth out and flow. I would never stick anything on a C5. Plus, soon everyone will have them, just like the chrome bezels everyone screws one the rear lights. Those spears are in all of the latest Vette catalogs.

I just don't get why people add all this extra weight to their Corvette. I once saw a Z06 with 1000 pounds of audio and video equipment. If you want to be a pimp get an Escalade with Dubs and TV screens. I know it's a free country but I just don't see the point of buying a Corvette and adding non-fuctional extra weight to slow it down.

With so many (good looking) go-fast and performance improvement parts availible why buy a bunch of costume jewlery and glue it to your car?

Bluecoupe, you are right on the money. You said exactly what I've always thought but never said. The Vette shows have come down to who can stick the most crap on thier car that they bought out of the Vette catalogs. People literally buy just about every item available and stick things under the hood, inside, and outside the car. Whomever has the most catalog bought stuff on the car wins the show. My wife thinks it's hilarious. Have you ever seen a Ferrari with chrome bezels screwed onto the rear lights? And if you did, what would you think? How would that look? I think it would look downright stupid.

All do respect, these pieces are all made individually to different specs. Left, right, top piece bottom piece. All have different contours.
All are perfectly chromed.
These are produced by the hundreds not thousands and are all hand fabricated. I don’t feel these are over priced at $75.00 dollars per strake.
