Side terminal POPPED OFF!!!

Yeah- just what I said!!!!

The threaded terminal on the side of the battery LITERALLY FELL OUT when I went to replace the dead battery.

A little acid had seeped out, but luckily the baking soda found all of it before it could eat the harness apart!!!

I guess this was a common proble for the C5s from some of the posts I have seen. Anyone else seen this or had an acid-eating-into-the-harness issue?

Yep, big time problems.
As long as you hit this before the acid went below the battery tray, you should be just fine.
Otherwise, I would remove the inner fender, battery tray and perform a full check of all wiring to make sure that there is nothing left to eat the wiring.
