Happy New Year to all Callaway Owners & Enthusiasts!
It is hard to believe another year has ended, but here we are in 2006 and by the looks of things we have another great year in store. Last year, we saw the completion of the Carlisle Callaway Project by Callaway Cars and all of the related articles in various print media that accompanied it. There were some incredible shows such as Corvettes at Carlisle, the Show & Go at Englishtown, and closing out the season, the Callaway Cars open house in October. All these events had owner & enthusiast participation that was second to none!
Speaking of participation, we hope to see everyone at the following upcoming events for 2006 and are looking forward to more additions to the calendar. For information on upcoming events, check out the official calendar located here: http://www.callawayownersgroup.com/Pages/Events.htm In addition to events that are listed on the site, ideas also pop up on the Callaway Message Board http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=134 . Currently there is an inquiry for interest in a group of owners considering attending the Spring Mountain Corvette Driving School. As always, if you have an idea for an event or show, drop us a note or post a thread on the board for discussion.
While you are at the CallawayOwnersGroup.com website, be sure to check out all of the new updates and features. We have updated the list of cars for sale in the Marketplace: http://www.callawayownersgroup.com/Marketplace/market.htm and have added content to the Models Tab for B2K Twin Turbo cars as well. In addition to those items, a new tab had been added based upon input by folks visiting the site. Since we were receiving a fair amount of e mail on what to look for when in the market for a Callaway Corvette, the website now has a separate section for that called the “Buyers Guide”, check it out! http://www.callawayownersgroup.com/Pages/Tips.htm
Callaway Cars production for the new C6 Corvettes has really taken off! They have delivered not only some amazing car over the past few months, they have also introduced some new products for the C6 performance enthusiast including a new manifold that helps the SuperNatural™ C6 attain 490hp out of its 6.0L engine! Callaway Cars has reported more exciting cars coming in weekly and the latest batch included a few 7.0L cars being constructed for customers. For product information, check out the Callaway Cars showroom at: http://www.callawaycars.com/store and for a listing of dealers, check out the following: http://www.callawaycars.com/callaway/main/contentpages/dealers.htm
So as we endure the last blasts of winter with most of us having our Callaways tucked away from the elements, we can settle into our favorite easy chairs and surf the internet for awhile and see all then new features and changes on the www.callawayownersgroup.com website and join the online discussions relating to our favorite cars in the Callaway Forum while keeping current on all things related.
As always, we are looking for cars to feature as "Callaway of the Month" spotlight cars - If you own one, or have one in mind, please suggest it :cool
Thanks for your participation & feedback!
Enjoy! - Chris
