Ski Fi antenna mounting

Has anyone mounted the small Ski FI 2 magnet antenna to the fiberglass body on a C5?. Where and how?

I don't know if this will work for you but this is what I did. I have a 94 coupe and mounted my XM antenna (the newer small one) on my gas strut for the rear window. I just placed it on the tube and it sticks fine. I used some electrical tape to secure the wire (not really necessary) and strung the wire behind the rear window holder etc. I "mounted" the head in the center console and it just lay's there under the cover. Not my usual milspec installation but it allows me to easily remove the mount and antenna when I use the mount in another car. The antenna works fine and isn't critical about the limited ground plane. I LOVE my XM and it if it's not in the car I have it in the house. Good Luck

I have a C4 and I mounted mine on the rear hatch glass (by the third brake light) with the 3m body side molding tape. & ran the wire around the hinge and under the interior panels under the carpet and to the console.
