I took my '87 to the Skyline show on a whim. The car was still in "Bloomington" condition so I took it to the show. No surprise, it was the only Callaway there and I had a great time talking with lots of people. Most everyone I talked to had never seen one in person. It was great fun to talk with other Vette enthusiasts about these cars.

At the end of the day, I received a great surprise that I was judged to be #2 in the C4 class! There were 20+ cars in the class and 1st place was a Greenwood bodied car with lots of shiny motor compartment stuff. 2nd place was good for a 24" tall trophy and a handshake :L from the Hooter's girl handing out the trophies.

Eric I can't believe you didn't give the hooters girl a ride in the Callaway!!

Car is still looking great! Anybody that keeps a black car looking that good always gets my respect.:beer Probably is great to get it on the road after tying it up for Bloomington!:grinshot:grinshot:grinshot

Enjoy Ike

Congrats :beer

Good Job Eric!... It's looking spectacular.

I couldn't resist not going for a ride in my Twin Turbo today either. On the way home a 360 Modena started baiting me and I wasn't even speeding at the time, enjoying the early evening ride on I-95. Needless to say, there is one very dissappointed Ferrari owner in South Florida. He was very quickly looking at Callaway tail lights getting smaller and further away ;LOL !.

He had no clue.

Eric, maybe you can give Pete some tips on what it takes to place at a car show. ;)

Guys, I cannot hold back the whole story any longer. I had some help in winning the trophy... I took an attractive blonde to the show with me that I've been dating and she was gracious enough to wear a bikini top. :_rock She's a smart cookie too. I gave her a quick lesson on "Callaway Facts" and she talked the lingo with more than a few passer-bys. I'd like to think that the car won on it's own merits, however, I think she had something to do with it too. ;)

I guess that's why I only got a handshake from the Hooter's girl!
