I have to replace the slave cylinder in my 1989 Corvette. Can anybody tell me which is the best brand to buy. I have heard that some brands only last a year, and have units with the seals put on incorrectly. Any thoughts.
Thanks

Several years ago, there was a run of GM replacement slaves which were assembled with seals reversed.

I've not heard of this problem with any aftermarket brands.

I'm not even sure you can still get the GM slaves. If I had to buy one, I'd go with Rock Auto. They sell four different brands Bendix, Dorman, Wagner and Perfection Clutch. Prices of those four vary widely. Rock Auto's prices on each are competitive and their service is great. I buy a lot of aftermarket stuff from those guys.

Welcome onto the boards there!

Post pics of your vette and cylinder replacement work if you can here!

Welcome to the :CAC DKEK!!

Would you like me to fix the "salve" in your thread title to "slave" so that it will show up more easily in future thread searches?
Let me know.

I installed a Wagner in my 90 about 3 yrs ago. Haven't had a problem.
