I notice a clunk or pop when I depress my brakes when backing down my driveway. I do have a slight incline to my driveway. It sounds like the front brakes to me. Any ideas why this would be happening?

Is this on your C4? Does it happen when you touch your brakes when stopping on the incline prior to fouling the road? It may not be from your brakes at all but from your suspension or steering parts moving when they come under pressure. It may be that you only hear it in your driveway because of the lack of highway and driving noise. Have someone move the car and brafe while you stand clear to the front side and try to pinpoint the source.
Good luck!

Yes my C4. Hmmm I guess it could be from somewhere else.

Aloha "CFour" I think that the "clunk" your hearing is your u joints going out either in the half shafts or drive shaft, maybe both.
I had that exact same problem and discovered that , that was the problem. Check it out. hope this helps.
