How the heck do you get the Smiley Guys to show on your posts?!!

I know that there is probably some secret ritual involving the sacrificing of a chicken or something to be initiated into the club, but I think I'm ready!

(And I promise I won't tell anyone!)

Hi Intruder,

When you click into the Post Reply screen, you should see a highlighted bar to your left that says "Clickable Smilies".

Type your message, and when you reach a place you wish a smiley to be, click on "CS" and then double click the smiley you want. I believe it takes you back to your post.

You can also print out a page of the smilies, it will have the 'recipe' for the smilie on it.
Example:

:L = : and L
:D = : and D
:dance = : and dance

Hope I've helped!
Heidi

You may also go here http://mysmilies.com click on a smile you like...copy the html from the top of the page and paste it here.

I don't have anything to the left of my screen!

And I'm not sure about how to copy html.

Damn, I'm dangerous!!

When you post a reply...just to the left of the window in which you type your reply are the words "clickable smiles" in blue bold lettering. Just click on that button to reveal the window with the smiles in it.

When you post a reply you will get a screen that looks like this.

Notice the link on the left that says Clickable Smiles. Once you click on that a window will open that looks like this.

Now you can click on any of the smiles and they will be added to your text. You will not see the actual smile until you post the message.

Also, you need to have a Java capable browser and Javascript must be enabled or the smile window will not open. What browser are you using?

FYI I do not have a field with the vB code selections, and
I do not have a Clickable Smilies option. Perhaps Intruder9
(and I) do not have some setting active somewhere?

I have Java enabled. I have netscape at work, and IE5
at home. Same results. no BFD though, just curious.
