smoking brakes!

l changed my front pads on my 92 yesterday everything spins smoothly by hand and when driving with no noises or probs except that ive put about 25 miles on the car and i can smell brake pad burning..is this normal? ther just the cheap wearever advanced auto pads

If the front wheels still spin freely I say your smelling the pads

New pads have to bed in, they will smoke some and smell for a short while. Not to much smoke or smell but some. I assume your rotors where in good shape (smooth, little or no rust, no deep gouges) or you put on new ones.
