NICE!!!

Is that a bad wheel hop or a rev limiter when he hits 2nd? Or just my speakers? At any rate, thanks, the in car is awesome, maybe I should start shifting like that and save my trans...NOT!

Seemed like wheel hop on the 1/2 shift. What was wrong with his shifting, that's how I shift. Seemed pretty smooth.

Nothing Wrong

That's how I shift if I'm driving normal (if there's such a thing for me) but if I'm really putting it to it, or if I was on the track, it's wide open right foot to the floor red line every gear, or as we used to say powershifting WFO. Then again, I don't have the kind of HP that car does, not that it would matter to me, like I said, if I'm in it to win it, I'm driving it like I stole it and they're coming for me not far behind.

Hi Rowdy,

I know if I had a beautiful 62 like your's, I'd baby it just a little.

For the racing scenario, are talking about keeping the right foot down to the floor, as you shift, not easing off. It'll hit the rev limiter each shift anyway won't it? At least since whatever year they put in the rev limiter.

Right, If.......

You don't shift before the rev limiter. I have a total MSD ignition which along with I have a 6AL box giving me an adjustable rev limiter. It's as easy as changing a circuit breaker or a fuse in the older cars. Each is numbered and I can use what I want, 3,000 4,000 all the way up to the 8,000 I have and they also make them in increments of 200 or 3,200, 3,400 etc. Now as for the shifting, I usually shift it quickly as I have a 4:11 posi rear and the RPM's are very close between gears but I know just how much to give it to drive it right so it doesn't slow between gears. As I said earlier, when I'm all out, depending on what I'm doing or what I may be "playing" with, I'll either speed shift it, letting most of the throttle off between gears, or I keep the right foot buried and hit the next gear one or two hundred before the rev limiter. Thank you very much for the compliment, but it's not a show car, I built it to drive it and to have the HP it does, so as for babying it a little, most of the time I do, but when I'm "BAD, I"M VERY BAD!!!":bu

That's great. I'm a firm believer that the General made em to be driven, not locked away & taken out for parades. Yours just looks very stock & nice in the pics. Must be a real sleeper. Ever surprise c5 or m3?

Oh Yeah.......

The hood kind of gives it away, along with the idle. I've surprised a number of different people.:D

Yes,

I catch the hood now.
