Congratulations and welcome garlt4.

You’ll soon discover that the LT4 is a wolf in sheeps clothing, have fun with it!

Sure, if you consider a 300hp Corvette sheeps clothing...

Welcome to the club Garlt4. I my self just sold my GS.

Glad to see the circle is continuing.

twiget,

Happened twice -- after a few friendly little races, I ’ve had people tell me that my LT1 is fast and asked how I modded it. When I tell them that it’s not an LT1 and it’s a stock LT4, I can see by the looks on their faces that they’ve never heard of the LT4 and had assumed it was an LT1.

My car is Polo Green, not a CE or GS, (I wish it was a GS!!!) distinction of what I have under the hood can be difficult -- if they knew what to look for, they’d have to see my tach. It looks like a good ol LT1, hence, my wolf in sheeps clothing statement.

Congrats

You are gonna love it. We have had ours for about a year and every time we drive it, it brings a smile to our faces!
B17 Crew- I agree with you on the wolf in sheeps clothing. Ours is black and we have had a few run ins also. I like it that way!

I agree with you, I just ment that the LT1 is a fairly formidible sheep, in it's own right. :)

Wamp,

I enjoy the stealth that my LT4 has. I have read that the Polo Green is not as desirable as Competition Yellow or Torch Red, that I can totally understand. Before I bought my green one I was looking for a yellow or red LT4. Never considered the Polo Green, but when I happened into the showroom and came across my LT4 -- it was the nicest LT4 I had come across in a year (original owner traded it for a C5 vert). The undercarriage, suspension, etc were spotless and the mileage was low at 15,500 miles. I had found my car.

twiget,

I’m a believer in the LT1, the ’94 I had would run consistent 13.6 quarter mile runs at 103+ mph. Mods were a K&N air filter and a throttle body air foil (I’ll never buy another air foil again, keep my $50-60 bucks in my pocket).

Someday, I’m going to buy another LT1 -- I’m dreaming of a ’95 Competition Yellow or a Bright Aqua Metallic 6-speed vert. Can’t do it now, it’s a long term goal of mine to have a nice LT1 vert parked beside my LT4. Someday...

Take Care Guys

it's ok twiget....sometimes they forget this is the wolf's forum......sheep/no sheep..............no sheep, it really is!

Congrats on the LT4 purchase. A wise decision. Not a bad color choice either...:cool

Black is boss, nothing sharper than black when all shined up. As far as sheep go, that just doesn't work when you have a GS. LT4's are a great engine period!
