Sound clip of the exhaust.

Yeah I can't even hear it running, but now I can hear the radio... What is the difference between the muffler eliminators that are chambered, and the ones that aren't? I definetly don't want the car to get louder.

watch this vid and you will see the difference in the first few pics i show what the chambered elims look like down the piping.

this is from the inside getting up on it with the windows down (i think)

Yeah it does, but I think yours is a little more cackly?? I dunno my friend was really far behind me when we did that vid of my car idling, it was probably due to the fact he couldn't take the emissions :D or lack of. I am not sure If I want to get the chambered ones or not. The inside the car was hard to hear due to the music playing.

I think Bassani made C4 exhausts. At least that's what my memory tells me so they may not make C4 exhausts!:L:L:L

I've heard the Power Effects on a ZR-1 and those things are nice. Didn't the company go under or something like that? If I recall correctly (there goes that memory of mine again), wasn't the Power Effects in the $1,000 neighborhood?

Ok, I checked Bassani's web page. Aside from the swimsuit photos, their catalog does show 84-90 applications... but no pricing, and their home office is currently closed.

PowerEffects is still in business, but I've heard conflicting reports about availability. It's not as simple as calling and ordering; I think they've not been producing the pipes for a while but are still making Power Pods which may require welding to use on something other than their setup. There's sound clips on their website (www.powereffects.com), so that's worth checking out.

EDIT: I emailed PowerEffects and they called and left a message on my machine. They're very much still in business. Hit their web page for a phone number and give them a call. Ask for Joel.

i think that is because i am running rich on the low end. i'm having rich idle flags and also lazy O2 flags. i think this is due to the O2 sensor. since the header install i had to move it back 12"+ from the original stock location and that i need a heated one. the car is throwing no codes and is running strong on the top end but doggish down below although she spins the DR's hard at 20 mph roll :D

she use to spin'em at 40 :upthumbs:

Must be nice... I am going to calibrate that TPS at 5 volts tomorrow and see how she runs, and see how high it idles. I am sure I wont be able to get that, I might have to buy one of those switches that at 3/4 throttle it reads WOT.

check your TV cable and make sure the butterflies are opening all the way when at WOT. if the TV cable is to tight then that is alot of your problem. in the WOT position it should have about a 1/4" of tightness when you pull on it. if it's too loose then it's sloppy shifting due to the line pressure not being consistent and burns the tranny up. to tight and it shifts early and sporadically.

always check the most obvious and easiest *cheapest* route first. it's a process of elimination. if you know you didn't touch anything go back over what you did touch if it screws up *ie wires ;)

this is why people get frustrated who work on their own stuff and they can't get it fixed or working and have to spend money on a mechanic. some just get in over their heads on the projects. the arrogent ones usually B*tch and moan that they got X amount of money and it only runs 13's especially when you run as good or better in an old L98 for 1/5 the money they spent.

i was lucky to have someone to look over my shoulder when i was young. my uncle and dad. it makes it alot easier now and now i have mechanic friends so that helps also :D

on the other hand i've heard good things about that switch so let me know how it goes :D

Yeah I will. I was going to adjust the TPS voltage today, but last night I ended up buying a 1994 GMC Jimmy, and today I dropped the pan, and changed the tranny fluid and filter, man that was a project... Hopefully later next week when it stops snowing :( I can get back to work on my car.

I thought that sounded real nice, good job on the set up vettefan87, you must be proud of her, heck I know I would, nice job once again. :beer :upthumbs

It is going in on Tuesday to have the lifters adjusted, and install those roller rockers. I was hoping I could adjust that TPS and Gtech the car to see what gains I got with the headers. That might not be possible with the weather we are having here, it is actually snowing a little outside...:cry

I think you're going to feel a significant increase in power.

You have roller lifters, right?

Either way, getting things back to spec will give you an improvement. The headers and 1.6 roller rockers will give you a noticeable improvement. Let us know how it goes.:D

Yeah they are rolling lifters. I hope I see a difference with the new stuff on, and the TPS re adjusted if I can adjust it.

Will getting the lifters adjusted right really give me an increase in performance? I just thought I would get better lubrication.

It won't give you an increase per se but it will put things back to normal. With things not being the way they should be, you lost performance.

You know, kind of like having fouled up spark plugs. Replacing the plugs doesn't give you an increase, it just brings everything back up to spec.

Yeah, that makes sense so an increase in what I am feeling right now. Well they will get done tomorrow with the RR's so we will see. I hope they don't run into any difficulties while doing it.
