Santee, South Carolina - Santee Police were dispatched to the Whitten Inn on Mall Street in Santee, South Carolina in reference to a report of a stolen vehicle at 9:06 p.m. May 1.
The victim, a 60-year-old Crenshaw, Mississippi, native, told police he had left his 1992 maroon Chevrolet Corvette in the hotel parking lot at about 6 a.m. April 28 in order to travel for work. He said when he returned on May 1, the car was gone. The Corvette is worth about $22,500, he said.
