40th Anniversary Spare Tire for 1993 40th

The spare tire on this vette is completely dry rotted out. There is no way it can be used, It seems it has not been taken down in the the entire life of the car.

Does anyone know where I can get a new or slightly used one to fit in there?

Try the dealer, I know they suck, then give TIRERACK a shot. They should be able to help.

My low mileage, and babied 40th Coupe still had its compact spare unused, but pressure had dropped from 60 to 45 psi. The only other issue was that it was dusty, had a few pebbles in the tray, and the tool kit was unused. Still, I hope that I never have to depend on 16 year old rubber if I have a flat. If that does happen, you can bet that I will keep speeds slow and sane. On my Cadillac STS, I had to go junkyard hunting to replace a compact, but old, spare that did not last more than two miles. It took several months to find the correct one (no Goodyear dealer could order one), but I never had to use that one. Lesson for us both, keep good tires on the wheels that always touch the road.
