Spark Plug Torque

I had to pull the plugs out. Any idea what the torque on them is?

All I have handy Bob, is the Haynes book (which I hate) and it gives a torque spec of 22 ft-lbs for the C4. It doesn't differentiate between aluminum and iron heads. Use common sense when all else fails.

The antique (1975 printing) Chilton's I have says 20-25 lbs for 13/16ths plugs and 15 lbs for 5/8ths plugs.

Thanks Ken. I have the Haynes book as well. I didn't realize that it had torque settings.

I tend to rely on the AIM. But things that come already together at the factory don't have a listing.

Wasn't in the Haynes manual but was in the shop manual. 15 ft/lbs for a tapered plug.
