Spark plug wires

At least i know that IF/WHEN I change them not to go for the repro dated ones as everyone says they are junk

Aw Crap, I missed that one!
Can you give me a quick rundown on the dated ones from Letric Limited?
:confused[/quote]

Just within the last 12-18 months the LL wires have become very delicate and unreliable; took us three full sets of their wires to come up with eight good wires when preparing a '65 for judging at last January's Orlando Regional. Not a lot of fun making last-minute plug wire changes on a car with A/C :eyerole

Yeah...look who's talking.. Mr.... I gotta go Fishen In My Block To Clean out the Gack from the water jackets..

Maybe if you flog tha thing every now and then on the drag strip you won't have any gack to clean out.!! Or.....Hang out with Mr......I need Roller Rockers to Go faster Man.. and he'll show you how to pull the heads to get to the gack easier....:D

Well, roller rockers were an intellectual challenge for me....i wanted to see if i could follow instructions written by college graduates in the 60's and targeted for 8th grade literacy...frankly, i was saved by looking at the pictures

....i LOVE my roller rockers...when are we going to do your engine?????

In that picture you just posted I noticed the bypass fitting on top of the waterpump is painted the same as the WP and motor. Is that the way it's suppose to be on the SHP cars. Only SHP motors had the bypass right?
Mine was the raw chrome or silver plated or whatever it is but it wasn't painted.

I figure when the Push Rod pokes thru the Poopy hole in the rocker arm it'll be time to change them out. :D

If they were good enough for ZORA back in the day the they be good enough for me.

Yup - only SHP's had the bypass, and both fittings, hose, and clamps were installed at Flint Engine and will show at least some overspray - no conscious effort was made to mask them during painting.
