What hell was gm thinking when they put the ac unit in the way of changing plugs. The #2 plug is a bi@ch. The next time I change them the motor will be out.
It's worth the 200 that they wanted to do a tune up for them just to change that #2 plug. haha I got it fine after ken said remove the inner fender sheild. You know the enginee's was laughing at all of us after they designed this car.
I think you guys are way over-reacting. Spark plug changes aren't that bad. Yes, it is a little inconvient, but not that bad really. You want bad? Try it with a 69 or 70 Mach 1 with a 351 Clevland or 429. One on each side were impossible without lifing the engine up about 6 inches or cutting part of the fenderwell out.
Removing the inner fender well is the key to also changing out the windshield washer bottle and pump----there's a bolt on the bottle which is impossible to remove, otherwise. Luckily, it was easy to unbolt and move the fenderwell out of the way.
