speaker cover removal

b4 i break anything what is the correct procedure for removing the front speaker covers. i see no screws and it does not want to come off.

and remove the entire lower side panel

He is thinking for a 84-89


90+ Get a phillips head screw driver and remove two screws that are on the hump to get in. Remove the plastic trim in the door jamb area. gently pll up from the rear and then pull to the rear so the front slides back.

FRONTSPEAKER/ENCLOSURE

Front cover
The front speaker/enclosure covers are integral with the door sill panel. Speakers/enclosures are accessed by removing the sill panel. Refer to section 10-10 for sill panel removal procedure. Do not attempt to pry covers from sill panel.

Sill plate and speaker cover
Remove or Disconnect
1) Screws door side of sill plate
2) Rear trim plate
3) Velcro strip at speaker cover
4) Raise rear of sill plate & maneuver from parking brake ( left side only)
5) (remove) Sill plate from vehicle

There are screws on the parking brake cover that you ONLY can get with the seat out~!

Done my car, another 90, and two 91's. Never had an issue with the parking brake cover, the carpet piece just slides in behind it.

THere are alot of things the book says to do that aren't necessary to work on the car.
