Speakers

I'm looking to get some new speakers for my convertable. When I bought the car the original stereo was gone. The previous owner had installed a nice Kenwood Kamelian CD player and set of infinity 6x9's in the rear deck. The speakers in the doors I believe are stock and I have no speakers in the dashboard at all.
I was wondering what the sizes of the door speakers and dash speakers are so that I may go shopping today. I'm sure the stereo shop should know this info, But I would rather here it from the true experts. Everyone here at CAC.
Also if anyone has any preferences on brands that would be greatly appreceiated. Thanks

I used 5 1/4 ...3 way in my doors...You still are going to have to remover the old boxes and use a piece of plywood, plastic or something else to mount the speaker on. Cut the piece an inch larger then the square hole that is in the door. Then cut a round hole in that piece to mount the speaker through and be able to bolt to the piece. Then bolt the whole thing into the door.
