my car bottoms out on the exhaust espically with two people in it.I installed new gas shocks but it didnt help . Do I need to install a new mono spring or will an adjustable shock do the trick. And last but not least I was told monoleaf springs are lifetime they dont wear out is that true

It seems to me that you need new springs. Shocks don't hold the car up, the springs do. The shocks are to keep the wheel pressed against the ground especially during bumps, holes, and turns.

I don't know about the mono spring being lifetime or not.

The only other thing I can think of is that maybe your exhaust is hanging too low.

Good luck!

Check under the rear of your car, look at the spring to see if there is a bow in the spring or if it's riding flat (straight across), if there is a bow in the spring then check the bolt through each end of the spring next to the tires to see how much bolt is sticking through the nut, the nut gives you some ride height adjustment just tighten the nut but remember to count the threads below the nut so that it's even on both sides...... If there is no bow in your spring and it's riding flat then it's time for a new one.

Mine is equipped with a TRW high performance spring cause the original one broke...hmmmmmm lifetime????? Anyway, that's how mine works, give it a close inspection..... Good Luck!
