Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

Stalling and Rough Idle

I drive mine in the snow, so the only thing I am waiting for is to take the hard top off for the season.

I have not joined any clubs. I went to one meeting up in Longmont (can't remember the name of the club) and I felt like I stole my dads car. So, unless you are driving with blocks on your feet and a pillow behind your back, we are probably about the same age. :L

Looking Glass puts on Vettes on the Rockies. I don't know if you have ever been, but it is a lot of fun. Actually I met some people from Heartland Corvette Association. I have been out to Nebraska to visit and have participated in a couple club events. If it wasn't for the 6 hour drive, I would be a lot more willing to join.

Good to hear that yours is up and running. Next time you drop in on a club, let me know...I'll meet you there. At least there will be two of us to drag down the bell curve.

Mike,

I've heard lots of good reports about Vettes on the Rockies. I didn't get my Vette until after they had held the event last summer. I plan to go this year, though.

As far as clubs go, there are two I'm thinking about going to see- Down The Road, which meets at John Elway Chevrolet, and the Corvette Club from Colorado Springs. You know, there are a ton of Corvettes around Parker, and most of the drivers look fairly young. I'm surprized no one has formed a club around here.

Let me know if you have any interest in going out to visit either of these clubs.

Let me know when you are going to the one at John Elway. I will meet you there. Colorado Springs, maybe, it depends on when.

Did you drive yours today? I made it from Arvada to the work in the Tech center without the traction system activating. :)

Talk to you later.

Mike,
Down the Road Corvette Club meets the fourth Thursday of every month at John Elway Chevrolet. You can check out their web site here:
http://www.downtheroadcorvettes.org/

My dilemma is that I have a semi-regular committment on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month, and I only know about a week ahead of time if I'm available to go.

CORed91!! Mahalo for posting what your problem was!! I changed the IAC (Idle air control valve) Which I think was what you were trying to explain was the matter of your car. I, like I had just mentioned, replaced mine, and it runs like a top!!! When are all you guy's coming back to visit us here in Hawaii? Let me know so we can all hook up yeah? Aloha no!

I will let you know the next time I head out to the islands. I hope it will be soon.

Patrick....let me know if/when you are going. email if you want...that is probably easier.

DA Hawaiian Punch,
I'm glad I could help! Changing that IAC made all the difference for me. I think this must be an ideosynchracy unique to the L98's. Hey, Hawaii would be a great trip- I just need to budget for it now, lol.

Mike,
I'll definately email you next week, when I find out whether or not I have any items to take to Planning Commission on the 27th. If not, we can head to Elway Chevrolet!
