Starting a new web site. (C6sales.com)

Right now it is forwarded to CorvettesByRickDaniel.com but I plan to start working on it this weekend. Getting ready for next years release of the C6 I think C6VetteSales.com will be my main site as time goes on. Sure is easier to remember than corvettesbyrickdaniel what do you think?

Rick,

I would keep your main site with something that has a universal domain name. Reason being: in time, your site's name will become linked all over the web via site engines and Corvette related sites. If you frequently change the domain name, you'll end up breaking all of those links. How about something like:

vettesale.com

It's available.

They don't even know what the allocation situation will be and they are already trying to sell them. There isn't even an official release date! People don't give ANY dealer a deposit without a written deal stating how much below/above federal window you will pay and what the dealer will have to PAY YOU for the inconvenience if he can't deliver what he took a deposit on. I bet you wont find one willing to sign you to a contract but I'll bet they will be happy to put you on a phoney waiting list and take your money without one. Remember PT Barnum folks.

Based on the info I have been able to gather I believe it to be as close as any I have seen. Is this a fact no one knows for sure. I can tell you this, keep and eye on this site and when new info becomes available you will see it there.

Who are you to place such negative post on someone else's thread. I assure you that if I take a deposit on any Corvette it is because I CAN DELIVER THE PRODUCT. I suggest you know who you are referring too before making such irresponsible statements.

Sir if their is a C6 Corvette built witch I dont think anyone will say their wont be, Maxie Price Chevrolet being the #2 Corvette dealer in the world will get a ton of them (somewhere around 600) No we dont have a firm date and no one else does ether but unless we are all blown off of the planet (God Forbid) I can delivey anyone a C6 Corvette just as they wish and as quick as anyone in the nation. We sold a bunch of 50ths before anyone had seen them or knew what they would cost. I will tell you this, if you dont have your name on someones list WITH A DEPOSIT you will be lucky to have a C6 before the middle of the model year. This Corvette WILL BE IN HUGE DEMAND and if you want one soon after they come out you will have your name on a list.

No one is ever "Lucky" to own a first year GM product. Just ask the 1984 and 1997 Corvette owners (myself included). Oh yea how about all the Lucky first year Trail Blazer owners? I hope this is not the case for C6 BUT!!, There is wisdom in getting a mid year C6 and not being the "First" to own any new first year Chevrolet product. They very simply don't have a good track record. 2006 will be my year to buy, I try to only make stupid mistakes once.

When the C5 first came out in 1997 we had customers staying in a Days Inn across the street from our dealership. They would wait for a truck load to arrive and rush across the street to TRY to claim one. I expect the same thing when the C6 comes out.

While I agree with not purchasing any NEW MODEL vehicle in it's first year there are some people that just have to be the first "KID" on the block with the new toy. More power to them but I would prefer to see the recalls die down and all the TSB's associated with a new model. As far as HONEST dealers go if RICK DANIELS is any thing like the owner of the dealership I work for I can assure you advance orders and deposits are taken with the honest intention of delivering a vehicle. Do you think for one second that dealers of any item be it a car or not would be in buisiness long if they just let non deposit people go on a waiting list! Deposits show an honest desire to purchase,have you ever bought a home? Enough said but I agree with Rick,until you know the FACTS put up or shutup.

I do know the facts, the fact is C6 isn't a locked in 2005 model yet! Im not saying the dealer is dishonest. What I am saying is he is putting the cart before the horse. It is IMO dishonest to take money from people based on what you "think" will happen and not facts. There is no Chevrolet reseller on the planet that has this information. They don't even know what model/models will be offered in 05. Notice he made no mention of giving these people a signed deal. The Reason? He could get taken to court if the product does not show up and he has no hard confirmation from GM that it will. Why take peoples money, Why not make a list and as soon as the hard facts arrive then make your "money" calls. He is claiming he is going to have people camping on his lot for his cars so whats the loss if someone on a wait list walks, right? Don't give any dealer money on speculation only on facts with some sort of written contract as to how much you will have to pay above or below the sticker when pricing is released. It makes no sense at all. PHXRAPTOR, Yes I have put many a deposit on a home BUT, after I have seen it and after a Home inspector told me it was worth the money they are asking for it. Are you saying you buy homes sight unseen?
