If you could build your own TPI / EFI system from the ground up, what would you use? Why?

About a year ago, I decided that I wanted to build another TPI Vette. My wife is really special beacuse she is letting me do this- each part at a time, sitting in the spare bedroom!

Since I am building my system from the ground up, I can use whatever I want.

Here are the systems I am looking at

Megasquirt- http://www.megasquirt.info/ (very cheap)
FAST- http://www.fuelairspark.com/ (state-of-the-art)
Painless Wiring- http://www.painlesswiring.com/viewnews.php (off the shelf GM replacement parts)

I'd like to be able to adjust the tables as I go. I really don't want to mess with flashing chips. However, I'd like to get a reliable system. Any ideas?

if your starting from the ground up it seems INSANE to limit your thinking to the extremely restrictive limits the basic TPI and SBC engine combo limit you too!
thats like striving to be the very best bag boy at the local super market, even IF you acomplish that youve accomplished very little to be proud of. compared to what YOU MIGHT HAVE ACHEIVED with some planning, skill, education and work

all IM pointing out here is its really silly to tie up thousands of dollars in an engine based on severly limited potential, you could install a 572 big block, a turbo LS7, or a dozen other far more powerful and less limited engine choices

think it thru! whats going to be more impressive and give you a bigger sence of acomplishment, having just anouther TPI vette amoung THOUSANDS or building something that WOWS THE GUYS ,like an aluminum big block and make your car both unique and MUCH FASTER than any TPI vette

personally I think ID have sellected the ALL ALLUMINUM 572 that weights 471 lbs (less than a sbc)and a 871 supercgharger kit

WND-7186P $2,749

sure it costs more! but you can,t deny the shock & awe as they say
and your NOT in a HURRY HERE! YOU DO WANT SOMETHING UNIQUE/IMPRESSIVE!

True... but I want to go with a small block.

Oh, and it is going in a C3- which C3's with TPI aren't really a dime a dozen. I'm planning on using a FastBurn or the 350hp Vortec TPI motor from SD.

I chose the C4 forum because that is where the bulk of my parts for fuel management will come from!

But a supercharge is a nice idea...:D
