Question: Status of any GMPP warranties

Considering the unstable situation of General Motors, I'm wondering if anyone knows what situation the status of extented warranty we have on our Corvettes is? Mine is in effect till June of 2011, If. . . ;help

I called my Chevy dealer and the service manager said the GMPP is still fine? . . . So

It is a contract with GM. If they should go into bankruptcy, then all contracts will be reevaluated. If the court agrees then it could be voided.

BUT...my thinking is that the will reconfirm those contracts to maintain the good will of their customers. What would be voided would be those that are strangling them, like the union.

Being part of the auto industry I can assure you that the warranty will never be voided. If any auto company cancelled the warranty they would be done forever. GM will restructure and they need to be able to say they have the best warranty in the business. Chevrolet is the main name brand for them so you will be just fine.
