I am replacing the Bose Gold head unit in my son's car and I now have the tuner/amp bypass ready to connect to the CDM. The only wire from the head unit that I do not know what to connect to is the illumination wire. This wire is the one that dims the display when the lights are on. Anyone know what I can connect this to? I'm sure it is one coming from the CDM but don't which one.
I have also run the microphone for the Bluetooth. It mounted right next to the visor with very little trouble. One word of caution. When you remove the visor DO NOT look down at the little press on washer that is under the acorn nut. There is a large spring under there that comes off really fast. (DAMHIK)
As a side note, it was just my luck that the day I pick to do this install there was also a major snowstorm in the northeast which is where Crutchfield is. I talked to the only tech person who was able to make it in and he was giving me assistance from memory since their computers were down. They shut down at noon yesterday. Good thing I have you guys.
