The temperature was close to 70 today - and my shark is in the shop getting a four wheel alignment ($375 jeez!)...

Opportunity-missed! Would've been a gr8 day to have her out with the top down. I scoped out a number of Vettes out today... it's just NOT quite the same waving to fellow Vettes when I'm driving a Chrysler Concorde! :L

Countdown to spring!.....

I washed the vette today. Did a couple of adjustments/speed waxed, put the drop top down and enjoyed. Saw some Vette's out today, didn't notice any Concorde's(lol). TAKE THAT OPEC.

Weather has been fantastic in the NE considering its winter!!! Had the 71 out last week and switched garages with the 88. Today was another great day and took the 88 for another spin.Gotta love this!!! No salt, ice nothing!!!

I got her back and drove all day today! You have to understand, I have not had a real good opportunity to drive her much since the resto/overhaul, and I'm still "breaking-in" the motor.

Horsepower. What an adrenaline-rush! The chambered exhaust is also wild... a good hum on the highway, and then roar when you get on it!

I wanted to be sure to finally get a good drive today, ad we're expecting our first snow storm here in Maryland tomorrow.

Drive it before those flakes fall!!!! Looks like it will be a bummer with this big storm coming. Snow, ice and salt on the roads..... My cars will be sleeping till the roads clear and the salt gets washed away

Had another 50 degree day yesterday. Took the vette out, put 40 miles on it! Gave her a wash and parked her back in the Storage unit. Spring creeps closer

wild!!

Taking mine out after I get off at 3:00 today. Took it out a couple of day's ago for a test drive with the chamberd exhaust and holy S***....not as loud as I thought it was going to be at low speed but WOT is unbelievable!!!

Randy, did you have this vette when you were on the Hill? I don't remember seeing it. -John

Forecast for tommorrow high 19 and windy. I'm not putting the top down on a day like that !
Here's hoping it gets that high. It's 3 right now, down from 4 when I got into work about 40 minutes ago.

Took her out today. Was gloomy and 60 degrees, but the Rain held off and I got her on the highway. I saw a newer vette on the other side of the Highway, and got behind a black 76. Turned out to be a good choice!!

Beautiful day yesterday in NJ. Took the 88 out for a run this time....The countdown to spring begins. Raining out now but maybe some snow by weeks end...bummer....Nice weather will be here in the NE soon!!!

i would have loved to get out and drive this past weekend for several reasons, but the throttle bodies are awaiting install but first some more cleaning to do around the engine. So I have a bunch of stuff that I bought or got as b'day gifts...
throttle bodies
rocker arms
chrome headers
100 amp chrome alternator
power windor regulator
chrome poly trans mount
GM HI PERFORMANCE 50,000 VOLT HEI COIL
for my birthday my 17 yr old gave me $150 to buy two new tires so only two more to go! (I think he has ulterior motives that he will inherit the car but I have hopefully at least 35 more years in me)
I am hoping that I get another 50hp out of all of this :-)
This past weekend we did a lot of cleaning under the hood and I am learning a lot of stuff from the meticulous master of auto body/car repair. He is a man of a thousand tools and tips and I am learning a lot. I in return help him with his frame off restoration of a 69 firebird. I am good at sanding! I tell him to give me things to do that I can't do wrong and so far sanding is something I like to do and do well. Next weekend I will be using the giant belt sander to remove the markings on all his new hardware for his car so that they can get nice and shiny with no markings- i think that is crazy but its his car and there are no skipping corners! It is really amazing to watch him work on this stuff.
Sooooo it would have been nice to go for a spin, but hopefully it will be worth the wait!

Sounds like that engine bay is going to be looking really sweet this summer.
It's nice that you have someone you can barter with to keep the cost of your work down, and the knowledge you're gaining from working with this guy is invaluable. Who knows, you might just be tapping into an area of talent that might lead you to a new career sometime down the line. Let's see some pics of that engine compartment when you're done - Please! -John
