Can I install the rocker's from Jeg's, 1.6 ratio Comp Cams Rocker's.
On a stock CrossFire, stock heads. Etc.
Thought this was cheap HP increase.
thanks
tony

Can't help ya Tony, maybe this bump will stir some response. ;)

I installed them on my '84 a few years ago but installed a more aggressive cam from Comp Cams at the same time. Comp Cams did recommend that I go with 1.5 on the intake side and 1.6 on the exhaust side, but I believe without a cam change 1.6 on both sides would be better. As far as hp gains go, ( I believe they advertise 5% ?) I really can't help you as I made other changes along with it. I also had a 5.0 Mustang with a speed density system and the 1.6's did wake it up. Even if you don't see the gain you're looking for, they'll add longevity to your valve train.

I used Edelbrock covers, Ace. They were a bit taller than stock. However, if you go with Edelbrock, don't go with the classic finned aluminum/black as they didn't hold up well. If you're unsure, Jegs and Summit both are really helpful with tech questions. If they're unsure they'll tell you so. If I had to do it over I would probably go with the Edelbrock chrome. A friend uses them in his '85 and they held up really well.
