We fixed it!

A big thank you to all who helped me I finally had time to install the new ECM and it ran great with no idle issues. YEE HAW !!! I will still have to test the diag port when I get some more time, just started a new job and have to adjust priorities right now you know:eyerole. Keep on keepin' on.

I had a similar problem with my 86, I pulled the connectors from the distributor and cleaned them with contact cleamer, especially the ground connection. After I cleaned them, MPG gauge worked, and ran much better.
