I seem to be leaking fluid from the EEC assembly located in from of the right motor mount. This part is part of the emission system and is supposed to trap fuel vapor in a filter then its burned up when the engine is running. I seem to be leaking from the this part, is it possible that the filter is so full that its over flowing liquid?
Second part, now do you change the filter the shop manual is not to specific on this part, anyone have any experience with it?

What fluid is leaking from the canister - gas or oil? The activated charcoal in the canister temporarily stores fuel vapor, and the purge valve on top allows engine vacuum to draw air in through the filter on the bottom, through the bed of charcoal, which brings the stored vapors to the intake manifold, where they're combined with the incoming charge and burned. If the filter is clogged, air can't pass through the canister; replacement filters are a buck or two.

The EEC canister is under the drivers side fender. What you are describing sounds like a leaking fuel pump. There is no filter inside the pump. If it is leaking do not drive the car until it fixed!

Mikey has it right, after more research it appears I am looking at the fuel pump. How hard is that to change, also the rubber hose seem to be cracked and need replacement is that going to be a big deal?

Which hose? Smaller one or larger one? The larger one feeds fuel to the carb and the smaller one is the return line. If you replace the hose, purchase one that is already formed (bent) from suppliers like Corvette Central or Ecklers. You will run into problems with the hose collapsing in on itself with just a standard straight fuel hose. Replacing the fuel pump is a bit of a challenge due to it's location and the fuel pump rod behind it.

Its the large rubber, frame to pump hose that is in bad shape, the small rubber one, vent hose is fine and the metal hose seems to be in good shape although it is leaking at the fitting where the metal hose hooks to the pump. Not sure if its the hose or pump that is leaking.
