A while back a Vette owner told me he had to re-tighten his headers
every-so-often and he wouldn't recommend HEADERS for "everyday"
drivers. Has anyone experienced this? Which HEADERS do you recommend / have??

Nothing wrong with a set of headers for street use. I have a set of Ceramic coated Hookers on my '96 LT4 and Magnaflow mufflers. Sounds great as a Corvette needs a little rumble. After installing them I had to re-tighten a couple of times as once the gaskets gets "set" it should stay tight. You will get a noticeable improvment in performance as well. Some guys complain about resonance inside the car giving them some grief and yes there is some but the rumble is worth it. If your looking for performance and sound to match then headers are they way to go but if it has to stay quiet and performance is not a priority then the stock set-up would be a better choice. They just gotta have some rumble...

My 76 corvette came loose one time and caused me a lot of grief trying to chase this sound of metal pinging. Still would go with headers on my 92 when it comes time.

I've had Exotic Muscle headers on my 95 DD for years and I can't remember the last time I tightened them. Use quality hardware, and good gaskets and retighten after a couple of heat cycles and then you should be good to go.

My c3 is a different animal but I can't agree more with the above
