Hi all,
I am just about to start building my 540 big block. I want to get a mild solid roller cam, just wondering how much vacuum it takes to run the brakes and headlights?
For the cam, I was looking at roughly 240-250 degrees intake duration at .050 with 600+ lift. Perhaps I can choose a cam with not much overlap to help with low speed driveability and vacuum.
This is by no means a daily driver...but I still want it to be reliable.
Thanks Ed :w

I would add a vacum resovior canistor to the car. I have a bib block in el camino awhiel back with a magnum 305 cam. At idle I had about 6 in Hg of vaucum.

So as I dirve the canistor would store a vacum charge...
