Tonight on my way home from work in my Vette I came out of a street taking a left hand turn. I got on it a bit and when it hit 2nd gear the rear stepped out of line a bit and the engine stumbled for a second then came alive again. This is the only time this has happend and I couldn't get the car to do it again. Would having only a 1/4 of a tank of gas cause this. My thought is the fuel sloshed all to one side when I took the corner and momentarily interuppted the fuel flow. Car ran fine after that and I tried to duplicate the stumble but it wouldn't do it. I am not too worried but just wanted to get opinions as I know the Cross Fire Injection is sensitive.

YEP YEP YEP....... don't cost any more to fill the top half than it does the bottom half. Knock on wood but I haven't ever had to replace an in tank electric fuel pump.. I seldom let my tank get below half. Might not be a bad idea to post that thread on a regular basis.:)

I think you sloshed the fuel. I've done that. When you "duplicated the stumble" were you in the exact spot on the same road or did ya just whip around the next corner? Road level, speed, etc., probably factored in to your not being able to reproduce the problem. Keep your tank filled above half. Driving on fumes doesn't work Vettes and can end up being a costly repair!! :Steer

Thanks Vee93. It was a similar corner but only got that stumble once. I am just gonna fill it at half tank. My gauge is off a little so even though it said I had 1/3 tank I believe I had more like a 1/4. Thanks guys!
