Stupid Sidepipe question

CrevetteRouge said:
Interesting thread.
Out of curiosity, for those who tried it, what's the budget between headers, sidepipes and spiral?
I got the headers and sidepipes for about 1000 from Jet-Hot, with their sterling ceramic coating that goes inside and out. The muffs were another 150, but the spirals are like 300 i think. So, expect to pay at the most 1500 for parts. You can put them on yourself if you have the tools.

Have you got pictures of your Jet Hot side exhaust system installed yet?? I'd like to see how close the look is compared to the Hooker chrome pipes.

Thanks
Mike

I installed Hooker sidepipes on my 75 vert, L-48 400 auto. I left the stock exhaust manifolds on, the sound is not to loud and is REEALLY Grrreat, the performance improved so Im more then happy, (by the way its not so loud that Im gona attract the law),I used the glass pack inserts and the cupping goes to the rear. I think theres a I or F stamped on one side of the inserts?, considering the sound? :beer
