Stupid stupid stupid... mistake while trying to jump vette!

I once jumped a dead 57 Chevy bat with a good Divco milk truck (6 volt system I think) bat (running). Blew the Chevy bat up big time.

Watch it with jumping batteries - stuff can go wrong.

Um, all my car books (and cables) say to:

1. + on dead battery
2. + on live battery
3. - on live battery
4. ground on dead car
