Welcome,

First, let me say that this forum provides help on just about any problem that you could have. Its like having a couple of thousand consultants (only these guys and gals know what they are taking about) at your disposal.

I have an '88 (WHITE) and I have had a great time with it. I have had to replace the ECM, tuned it up, serviced the transmission and replaced tires. I am about to have the speed sensor replaced, steering rack boot replaced and a seal on the transmission replaced. I am also having my mufflers replaced and I am having Flowmasters put on (can't wait to hear it) .

It has been a lot of fun driving.

Check to make sure it has a spare and jack. I did not think to ask about that and I found when I had a flat that the donut was flat and there is no jack or tire tools. So far, I have not been able to locate after market jacks. Check the condition of the weatherstripping around the windows - especially where the WS from the targa top meets the a-pillar WS.

If I had it to do over, I'd get a little newer model with the LT1 ('91 and after??). The L98 is fun but a little more hoursepower would be nice.

Have fun and let us know what you get.

I just got back from the bookstore. May 2004 issue of Corvette Fever has tons of tips on buying a used corvette. Not sure if they are posted on their website. You might want to pick it up.
