OK
Wires, coil, cap, rotor, plugs, vacumn lines, EGR, everything checks out fine.
Air filter assembly OK. Timing OK.
My problem is at precisely 900-1000 RPM the engine runs rough. Runs fine through the rest of the entire RPM range. I do need to replace the THERMAC temp. sensor. Right now the damper is open at all times. I'm wondering if anyone has faced this. Hopefully it's the sensor which I'll replace tomorow (Can't miss the games) but that sounds too easy:eyerole I would expect problems through the rest of the RPM range and at cold start. Both cold and hot start are no problem and idle is steady.

had simular problem with 68

it may sound weird, but check your fuel filter and the fuel pressure.... my 68 wouldn't run just off idle.. and yet had lots of power right up to the 6,000rpm mark.. turned out the fuel pump was only puting out 2-3 psi, changed it and fuel filter...(also I checked fuel tank ..have seen the brass socks dirty in them a few times causing problems.

Thanks concept. Sinec you experienced the same problem even though not FI, the filter and pump it be.
