Got the Sunpro Dragon-Tach setup but it is not functional. (another BS previous owner thing) The green wire is matched with the TACH line coming from the HEI Distro side labeled TACH and still nothing from the tachometer. The black wire is ground - white and red not connected yet since I don't need the lights to work yet. Do I need these connected to make the tach work?
D/L'ed the manual and followed the steps. Anyone else have any info on manual tachs?

Arrrgh. :)

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the red wire has to go to the positive battery post....black is ground....green is for the tach and the white is for the light. you must have the black, red, and green hooked up to get basic operation....

What would be a good place to put the red wire on?

IT said it be linked to 12V+ battery terminal at the fuse box with some link that is enegized when the ignition is on. Any help?

Radio fuse or any switched source at the fuse box will work

It just wants you to be able to shut off the tach when your cars off. Otherwise you'll get dead batterys and a short life prbly out of your tach. Jeff's right this is basicly like looking for a power for a stereo (Not the clock wire guys) Use a radio wire, Lighter wire, or you can actually use the IGN wire itself.

May I make the suggestion that you splice the White wire into a existing interior light wire. That way you'll have dimming capablity and it will work in sink with the other Interior lights.

Keep us posted.
